Download HQ and HD YouTube Videos

If you guys frequent YouTube, you must have noticed the HQ and HD button at the bottom right of any video. I've been wanting to download these HQ and HD videos for ages and today I googled about it and VOILA!!!

I FOUND SOME GREAT TUTORIALS!

And similar to above tutorial just make a new bookmark.

Ok. I'll just write it again here.

1. Copy the code
2. Go to bookmark bar and right click.
3. Click New Bookmark.
4. Name the bookmark as you like e.g. Get YouTube Video
5. Then, paste the CODE in LOCATION (it is situated under the new bookmark name)
6. Click OK.
7. Check Your Bookmark Bar and you'll see the Get YouTube Video Button you've just added.
8. Then you can go to Youtube and open any Youtube HQ videos you want to download.
9. Click on the Get YouTube Video Button and a dialogue box will appear with >> save as video.mp4
10. Click OK and your download starts!

Hardubbing/ Encoding Videos a.k.a Adding permanent subtitles to Videos

This tutorial is for adding permanent subtitles to video files. Let's say you download a Korean movie and the subtitle is *softsub, and you found it so troublesome since in certain players, the sub won't come out.

To save yourself from the hassle, you can hardsub your videos and you won't be facing the sub-is not-appearing-on-video anymore.

So how do you hardsub a video?

Installing Virtualdub, Vobsub.
1) Download and install Virtualdub.
2) And then download Vobsub filter 2.3
3) Install Vobsub. During teh installation. Click on the + buttons on pluins and make sure you SELECT Vobsub for Virtualdub and Textsub for Virtualdub and Avisynth.
4) Then select the directory where Virtualdub is stored at.

Hardsubbing
1) Open Virtualdub, Go to File >> Open Your Video.
2) Go to Video >> Filters.
3) Click add and click Load.
4) Browse for the directory where you installed Vobsub (which is in Virtualdub folder)
5) Open textsub2.3 then textsub2.3 will be listed in the list.
6) Click textsub 2.3 and click OK.
7) Then the textsub setting box will pop up. Click open and browse for the subtitle file ( files with .srt .ass . ssa .sub etc)
8) Click OK
9) Go to Video >> Full Processing Mode
10) Set Video >> Compression (select DivX or XVid for HQ quality videos)
11) Finally go to File >> Save as .avi
12) And the video will start hardsubbing.

How to increase/boost volume on .avi files

So, you downloaded a movie, or a drama in an .avi format. The picture was perfect. The video was High Quality, but when you played it, the sound was almost inaudible. Have you ever experienced this?

If you do, this tutorial is just for you. (lol, i sound like a salesgirl)

So anyway, what you need to increase volume to your .avi files is : Virtualdub.

1) Download and install Virtualdub.
2) Open Virtualdub.
3) Go to File >> Open Video file.
4) Go to Audio >> Full processing mode.
3) Then go to Audio >> Volume. Select Volume. Increase the volume to your preferences.
*to preview the volume go to File >> Preview Output from the start.
*If you are not satisfied with the volume and want to increase it some more, go back to Audio >> Volume , and increase it.
4) After you're satisfied with the volume, select Audio >> Compression >> Lame MP3 >> 48000 HZ, 160 kbps CBR, stereo
5) Click OK
6) Go to Video >> Direct Stream Copy
7) Go to File >> Save as .avi
8) Name your file and click OK.

There you go with an .avi file with increased volume. Happy trying~!!!

using utorrent

what is utorrent?
it's a P2P application where u download files on the net through sharing system.

How to use utorrent?
1) First, download utorrent.
2) Run the application.
3) After the installation is complete, utorrent will open in a new window. It's something like this:

ok, so now, we're done with the installation.

Downloading Movies using utorrent
1) To download movies from utorrent, u need that particular movie torrent file.
2) There are many sites out there that offer torrent search e.g isohunt, torrentreactor etc.
3) Here, I'll use isohunt as an example.
4) Go to isohunt.com
5) Type in the movie title in the box at the top of the page.


6) Then, u will be taken to the result page:

7) Click on the torrents tag/name and the open with/save file window will pop up:

8) Make sure u choose open with: utorrent and not save file.

9) After u have clicked 'OK', utorrent window will pop up:

10) And your file starts downloading ~

Hi..yes, i've just created another blog~!Haha, but this one would be different. So, this will be my official blog for tutorials and how to etc.

Since not everyone is IT literate, I'm not saying I'm good, ok~ but, well, there certain things that I know that certain people asked me about for help etc so i guess, yeah, I should put it up so that it'll be helpful for them or just anyone who needs to learn it as well.
